We are looking for a Freelance Technical Designer for a womens lifestyle brand. Experience in womens intimates, sports bras and shapewear. This is a freelance position and operates 4 days onsite in their NYC office.
Responsibilities:
Executes the technical design process from development to final fit.
Analyzes and evaluates garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors / factories for approvals and corrections.
Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
5-8+ years experience in technical design.
Excellent problem solver.
Ability to maintain composure in a stressful situation.
