Design Project Manager - Data Center Design
Location: USA – The role can be based anywhere in the United States. The successful candidate is expected to travel up to 30% domestically for client and project site visits.

Role Description When you think of data centres, think of Arcadis! We collaborate with the world’s largest data centre providers and are looking to add experienced Data Centre Design Project Managers to our American Places group.
Role Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
Facilitate client requirements for the design of hyperscale data centres throughout the United States.
Manage the design process from campus planning and basis of design through issuance of construction drawings, including creating a shared plan for design execution and overseeing the construction administration services provided by the external design team.
Coordinate procurement, issue and administration of change orders related to design and project scope, and issue engineering information to related vendors and suppliers.
Build strong positive relationships with internal and external teams to ensure clear communication and progress towards required milestones and deadlines.
Travel to project sites and client meetings as required – anticipated to total up to 30% of the schedule.
Ensure project deliverables meet milestones, deadlines, and are presented in the format required by the final client and related teams.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of project design experience with data centre designs, OR large complex construction projects such as hospitals, high‑rises, laboratories, manufacturing plants, or high‑power plants.
Experience working with internal and external multidisciplinary teams and directly with final client teams.
Experience with preparation of project plans, technical specifications, development of project implementation plans and schedules, and coordination of internal and external teams.
Experience utilizing Autodesk Platforms: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutions.
BA in Architecture or Engineering, or a related field. Preferred licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) is strongly preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects with evolving priorities in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.

Salary Range $80,461 – $132,761 (actual salaries vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location).
