Sr. Director of Marketing - Demand Generation, Strategy, and Operations (B2B Focus)
The Senior Director of Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving demand generation, building a scalable marketing engine, and optimizing marketing operations across a portfolio of affiliated companies. With a strong focus on B2B marketing, this role will begin with one of our growing companies and extend into other companies within our portfolio. The role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of marketing frameworks that fuel growth, engage target audiences, and deliver measurable results. This leader will oversee the creation of a marketing infrastructure that aligns with the unique needs of each venture while ensuring operational efficiency and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
The Senior Director of Marketing will support multiple companies in various stages of development, from early-stage startups to established businesses, spanning industries including professional services, technology, insurance, real estate, energy, and more. The ability to shape and implement high-performing demand generation strategies and deliver value through advisory or hands‑on involvement with both dedicated and shared teams is essential. Success will require balancing strategic oversight with tactical execution to enable these ventures to thrive.
This is an executive-level position with high expectations for leadership, precision, marketing expertise, use of AI and the ability to work across diverse markets, industries, and teams, both foreign and domestic. This is a five days a week office role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demand Generation & Marketing Strategy
Design and drive integrated demand generation campaigns that build brand awareness, generate high-quality leads, and deepen customer engagement.
Develop marketing strategies tailored to the needs of each venture, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and target audience insights.
Leverage account-based marketing (ABM) and other B2B-focused methodologies to nurture key prospects and drive pipeline growth.
Building a Scalable Marketing Engine
Create and implement repeatable and scalable marketing frameworks, processes, and systems that support sustained growth across ventures.
Develop effective go-to-market strategies for new products, services, and businesses, including messaging, positioning, and launch plans.
Standardize content creation, campaign execution, and lead nurturing processes across ventures to optimize efficiencies and results.
Marketing Operations, Infrastructure, and Enablement
Oversee the implementation of a robust marketing technology stack (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools) to enable seamless collaboration and performance tracking.
Define and execute processes that improve marketing team productivity and establish best practices across ventures.
Lead the development and management of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to measure campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI.
Audience Segmentation & Customer Journeys
Deeply understand customer segmentation, buyer personas, and the end-to-end customer journey to inform marketing tactics and align with sales efforts.
Regularly refresh audience insights and use data to refine strategies for improving engagement and conversion rates across multiple customer profiles.
Collaboration with Sales & Revenue Teams
Partner with sales leaders to develop aligned lead management processes, create compelling lead handoff strategies, and improve the sales‑marketing feedback loop.
Support the sales infrastructure by providing marketing materials, insights, and lead tracking mechanisms that accelerate revenue generation.
Identify new market opportunities through partnerships, alliances, and channel‑based growth strategies.
Design and manage scalable channel marketing programs and ensure proper partner enablement and alignment.
Customer Experience & Retention
Drive retention and loyalty initiatives through targeted customer engagement, community building, and lifecycle marketing.
Collaborate with customer success teams to enhance onboarding processes, customer communication, and upsell opportunities.
Technology and Innovation
Optimize the use of marketing technologies and digital tools to enhance campaigns and deliver personalized marketing experiences at scale.
Optimize ventures’ online presence, including digital advertising, SEO/SEM/GEO strategies, and analytics capabilities for effective conversion tracking.
Leadership and Team Development
Build and lead a high‑performing marketing team including off‑shore and near‑shore talent, providing mentorship, clear direction, and growth opportunities.
Foster collaboration across departments and ventures, ensuring alignment between marketing, sales, operations, and product teams.
Budgeting & Resource Allocation
Manage marketing budgets efficiently, prioritizing initiatives that deliver the highest impact.
Unlock cost synergies across ventures by sharing tools, resources, and talent where it makes sense.
Evaluation of New Business Opportunities
Collaborate with key stakeholders to evaluate marketing potential in new ventures or investment opportunities. Contribute to marketing strategy evaluation during due diligence for potential acquisitions, startups, or partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in leading demand generation, marketing operations, and team leadership within B2B environments, preferably across multiple industries.
Expertise in developing scalable marketing engines and frameworks that drive measurable pipeline and revenue growth.
Mastery of marketing technology platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo) and data-driven decision-making.
Strong ability to navigate varying levels of involvement across ventures while balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.
Exceptional communication skills with a track record of building alignment across cross-functional teams.
