About the role A leading global game studio, renowned for creating groundbreaking and immersive interactive experiences, is seeking a visionary artist to join their dedicated team. Partnering with Aquent, we are looking for a talented individual who will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual universe of an evolving and highly anticipated interactive experience. Your impact will be central to establishing the aesthetic vision, communicating the visual experience, and inspiring the entire development team.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Art Director, Lead Concept Artist, and other artists to define the project’s visual style, from overarching mood to specific, individual details.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the interactive universe and its technological constraints.
Proactively seek feedback and maintain open communication with the Art Director and relevant departments.
Produce orthographic (construction) drawings for environments, props, characters, vehicles, and weapons.
Assist the Art Director, Lead Concept Artist, and Senior Concept Artists by providing valuable studio feedback throughout production.
Actively participate in regular team meetings, contributing to a collaborative environment.
What You Bring
A Bachelor’s degree or diploma with an emphasis on Art.
Experience shipping at least one AAA interactive title.
An outstanding grasp of human anatomy, animal anatomy, industrial, and architectural design, complemented by strong traditional art fundamentals.
Exceptional mastery of either Photoshop or Painter.
A collaborative spirit, open to direction and adaptable to change.
A strong, accessible portfolio (with your top 5 pieces highlighted upfront) showcasing problem‑solving skills and sketches.
Bonus Points
Strong draftsman skills.
Experience in fast‑paced action or sci‑fi genres.
Solid fundamentals in composition, lighting, and design.
Familiarity with industry‑standard tools such as Unreal and Blender.
