Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Oxford, MS for an Outreach/Communications Specialist. The Outreach/Communications Specialist will develop and implement outreach strategies to engage the community and build relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities include writing and creating communication materials, conducting community outreach initiatives, coordinating events, and performing research to identify community needs. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to support organizational goals and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service to clients and the public.
Qualifications
Strong Communication and Writing skills to effectively convey information and engage diverse audiences
Customer Service expertise to provide exceptional support and address community needs
Experience with Community Outreach and the ability to build relationships with individuals and organizations
Research skills to identify trends, community needs, and opportunities for program improvement
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency in using technology, including communication and productivity tools
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field is preferred
Experience working in a nonprofit or community-based organization is an advantage
