The Marketing Specialist plays an important role on the Account Management Team. Supporting all goals, objectives and initiatives for designated lines of business, product teams and marketing is paramount. This position leverages their project management skills and experience to ensure projects are completed on time and to help adhere to quality standards and expectations. A moderate degree of planning and proactive thinking are keys to the success of this position, the marketing department and the lines of business served. They should have a strong understanding of marketing principles and possess more interpersonal qualities and capabilities, such as collaboration, communication, and teamwork.
This position reports to the AVP, Marketing Manager of the Account Management Team and collaborates with all members of the Marketing Department.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Strategic Support
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to submit all project requests for the team
Work with areas of the Marketing Department and designated business units to manage and track marketing requests to ensure projects are completed on deadline
Work with the team’s Marketing Manager and designated lines of business for the review and proofing process for creative projects in route
Validate accuracy of projects throughout the project lifecycle and ensure they meet objectives
Traffic final art to internal business lines and external partners as needed
Manage the creative project calendar(s) for the Marketing Account Management Team and others as assigned
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the areas of responsibility, providing valuable insights and feedback while managing projects in order to achieve objectives
Work with the Marketing Manager to provide strategic marketing support for internal business lines
Utilizing the Account Management tools: Creative Briefs, Project Plans, Placement Plans, Analytics, Agendas, etc.
Assist the Marketing Manager in providing exemplary service to business lines, including participating in client meetings and responding directly to requests
Data and Competitor Reporting
Oversee the tracking reporting for marketing initiatives managed through the Marketing Account Management team and projects as assigned – digital, print, email, etc.
Provide relevant and timely competitive information by keeping abreast of market changes and the marketing mix used by competitors
Create, analyze and summarize marketing reporting for management
Assist with on-site event marketing support and outreach initiatives as needed
Execute promotions supporting bank campaigns and marketing initiatives as necessary
Additional responsibilities as determined
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required
Preferred 2-5 years of previous experience in a marketing role
Strong interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills
Able to manage multiple and shifting priorities and projects in a fast‑paced environment
Accuracy and an acute attention to detail is critical, including proofreading and content review
A strong work ethic, self‑motivation, confidence and the ability to work with different personalities as a team player
Strong written and verbal communications skills are required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, with excellent Excel skills
