Social Media Specialist

Location: Hybrid (Remote + Onsite in Seattle/Bellevue as needed)
Employment Type: Independent Contractor
Hours: 5–10 hours per week to start, with room to grow
Start Date: 12/1/25
Compensation: $17 to $25 an hour depending on experience and portfolio
Overview Adira Digital is seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to support content creation and management for multiple clients. This role includes developing monthly content calendars, building content strategies, creating on‑brand copy and visuals, managing scheduling, and producing high‑quality, high‑performing social media content.
This is both a digital and onsite role. You will regularly join Elishia on client content shoots, help build and execute shot lists, capture iPhone content, and gather behind‑the‑scenes footage of both clients and Elishia. You will also attend client events and activations to capture social‑ready content for reels, stories, and BTS storytelling.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, trend‑aware, and able to execute content that aligns with each client’s brand voice, audience, and goals.
Responsibilities
Content Strategy + Management
Manage day-to-day content creation, posting, and engagement for 3–5 clients across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Develop monthly content calendars with planned topics and ideas
Identify each post’s goal (awareness, engagement, conversion, etc.)
Research events, promotions, holidays, and client‑specific updates
Incorporate relevant trends and current social media formats
Understand each client’s brand identity, voice, and audience
Copywriting + Creative
Write and edit engaging, on‑brand captions
Create 10–15 tailored hashtags per post
Use ChatGPT/AI only for brainstorming, not final content
Design static graphics, carousels, and story slides
Select visuals that best convey the content message
Reels + Video Editing
Edit reels using Instagram, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools
Organize footage, trim clips, and select audio
Apply trending sounds, transitions, and styles
Ensure reels align with each brand’s aesthetic and tone
Onsite Content Support
Attend client content shoots with Elishia to assist with shot lists and execution
Capture BTS content of Elishia and clients for Adira Digital and brand storytelling
Attend client events and activations to capture:
Event highlights
Vertical social content
Ambiance/environment clips
Influencer‑style footage
Support lighting, framing, and creative direction during shoots
Organize and upload all footage after shoots
Publishing + Analytics
Submit content for approval and implement feedback
Schedule content using Get Rella or Meta Business Suite
Monitor and respond to comments/messages as assigned
Track analytics and prepare monthly performance reports
Maintain consistent brand identity across client accounts
Internal Communication + Systems
Use ClickUp to manage tasks and deadlines
Use Slack for communication and updates
Collaborate with Elishia on shoot planning, client needs, and creative direction
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in social media management or content creation
Experience attending content shoots or capturing onsite social content with iPhone and gimbal
Strong understanding of Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, and TikTok best practices
Excellent writing skills and ability to match brand voice
Proven ability to edit reels and short‑form video
Proficiency in Canva or similar tools
Familiarity with Rella, Meta Business Suite, or other schedulers
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines
Creative, trend‑aware, and strong visual storytelling skills
Bonus: graphic design, photography, or videography skills
