Sr. Content Developer - Technical and Sales Training As a Senior Content Developer your goal is to conduct, develop, and produce external‑facing and internal‑employee technical and sales training curriculum, incorporating feedback from the business. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams to maintain a comprehensive learning catalog of engaging and effective training programs. Additionally, you’ll maintain and improve the Briggs & Stratton Power Academy learning management system, as well as classroom and workshop facilities for effective training program execution.

Responsibilities

Develop, produce, and present training material, handouts, teaching aids, and new curricula using blended, adult learning principles and established best practices.

Create content and curriculum for self‑paced and virtual/remote course offerings, including eLearning courses, utilizing industry‑standard eLearning software tools.

Evaluate the effectiveness of current training methods, facilities, and materials.

Partner with internal sales, marketing, and engineering stakeholders to review technical information for development of support materials.

Attend and lead training at high‑visibility functions such as sales meetings, trade shows, and specialty dealer/customer meetings as needed.

Make field visits as required to help assist with product issues, customer issues, and to support training development needs.

Collaborate with the field team to secure facilities for training and support administration of learning management system information for participants.

Provide guidance and mentorship to Customer Experience team members on industry‑standard design considerations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum of five years of experience in training, instructional design, or development.

Background in working with technical subject matter experts preferred.

Proficient use of applicable software, especially Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, or other authoring and design software tools.

Practical and theoretical knowledge of company products.

Experience integrating theory and practice to deliver effective e‑learning experiences.

Strong project management skills.

Ability to present and maintain a positive, professional image.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to demonstrate leadership in meeting training needs, tailoring training to adult learning/instructional design skills, and achieving results.

Ability to travel up to 25% annually as needed.

Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
