Responsibilities
External Communications
Support media relations efforts, including proactive storytelling, press releases, and reactive media inquiries.
Collaborate with Brand teams, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure consistent messaging across all external touchpoints.
Support issues and crisis communications planning and response, ensuring alignment with other internal teams.
Internal Communications
Develop and implement internal communication strategies that foster employee engagement, alignment, and culture.
Partner with HR, Operations, and Executive Leadership to support business initiatives and organizational updates.
Craft compelling executive communications, including speeches, talking points, and employee‑facing announcements.
Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Digital Communications to develop messaging for internal channels including the intranet, LinkedIn, and digital signage.
Other
Support the development of the company’s annual Corporate Responsibility report, as well as other investor‑directed materials.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies using KPIs and analytics.
Collaborate with agency partners and external vendors to support communication initiatives.
Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, including crisis management.
Proven track record in both internal and external communications.
Experience managing cross‑functional projects and agency relationships.
Food, CPG, or Manufacturing sector experience preferred.
Essential Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or public relations is required.
