Position Summary Reporting to ILI’s Executive Director, the
Marketing and Media Manager
leads and implements ILI’s marketing and communications strategy to enhance the visibility and impact of its programs. This role creates, executes, and manages marketing campaigns, including routine promotional emails, social media engagement, and digital advertising, while maintaining ILI’s online presence through website updates and the production of digital and print materials such as articles and an annual brochure. Their responsibilities include creating compelling visual and written content across platforms, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality branding across all outputs. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; brings at least two years of relevant experience (preferably in international development); demonstrates strong writing, editing, and organizational skills; and is proficient in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Microsoft 365, social media management software, email automation software, among other relevant software.
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Executive Director and other team leads, develop and implement ILI’s annual marketing and communications strategy with the goal to increase overall awareness of ILI’s work and services, and increase attendance in ILI’s training and educational programming
Update and implement ILI’s brand guidelines
Develop creative and written content as well as visuals
Tracking and reporting on strategy performance
Social Media and Communications
Lead, implement, and report on email campaigns and audience growth
Manage all social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook)
Develop and implement social media and other digital media ad campaigns
Manage social media management software – e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, others.
Track and report on social media and other digital media performance
Website and Other
Oversee and manage ILI’s website, updates, and content (draft content, articles, blogs, etc., update visuals as needed)
Report on website analytics and web performance
Lead and produce all print materials including ILI’s annual brochure
Assist with graphic design for ILI reports and other outputs
Provide all marketing and creative support for events
Lead and mentor marketing interns
Maintain external relationships relevant to marketing and communication plans, collaborate with clients in co‑branding and promotion
Qualifications Required
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related fields
A minimum of two years of full‑time work experience leading and implementing marketing strategyProficiency in marketing and analytical software, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Canva, Microsoft 365, email automation software, social media management software, and other relevant software
Strong organizational skills and proven experience with completing projects on tight deadlines, within budget, and managing multiple projects at a time
A skilled writer and editor with a strong grasp of audience engagement, brand voice, and promotional best practices
Ability to clearly interact across departments and with staff at all levels
Ability to work independently and show good judgment
Preferred
Experience working with international clients, in international development or non‑profits
Familiarity with marketing of training or educational programs
Experience with website development
Salary range: $55,000‑68,000
Health, dental, and vision insurance
