Custom Apparel is a family owned, fast-paced and friendly screen printing and embroidery shop working primarily within The Villages community to create custom items for a variety of clients, including businesses, schools, clubs, sports teams, as well as individuals. We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible, and team-oriented individual for a full-time embroidery position, working to embroider custom orders for our clientele. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sumter County, FL. As a Direct-To-Film (DTF) Print Specialist, you will oversee and manage daily print production tasks using DTF printing technology. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining printing equipment, preparing print designs for production, troubleshooting machine issues, ensuring quality control, and meeting production deadlines. You will also collaborate with other team members to optimize workflows and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Job duties include: Having a professional, fun, and positive attitude. Being able to effectively self-manage and organize jobs in order to complete orders in a timely manner. Monitoring multiple embroidery machines for quality and speed. Fixing or alerting management of any errors during production. Effectively communicate needs/suggestions to management and co-workers. Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Being able to follow written work orders to complete multiple orders per shift. Relaying supply needs to management to maintain well-stocked supplies. Having a strong attention to detail and checking each garment for high quality standards. Qualifications Proficiency in Print Production and Printing processes Experience with Print Design and quality assurance in print-related tasks Strong Communication and Customer Service skills Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to work on-site and contribute to a collaborative team environment Knowledge of Direct-To-Film printing methods is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in printing or design is desirable Position requirements include: 1 year of commercial embroidery is preferred, but not required as we are willing to train a quality candidate. Computer literacy is required. Physical Requirements: Team member will be required to regularly stand for long periods of time. This position requires lifting 15-40 lbs on a regular basis. This is a full time position. Work hours are 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday. As a full-time employee, you will be eligible for enrollment in The Villages Charter School. Candidate will receive one week's paid vacation and eligibility for company 401K after a year of employment. Dental and vision insurance plans available after 60 days of employment. Pay is based on candidate's experience. Candidates not currently residing in Lake, Sumter, or Marion county will not be considered for this position.
