The most EXCITING salon in Brooklyn is looking for a fun, dedicated makeup artist/receptionist for their newest salon in Dumbo, providing services on Saturdays & Sundays. This position is the first point of contact for all existing and potential guests of the salon. Therefore, the ideal candidate must represent the salon well as a first impression. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with location managers as well as the salon's owners. Duties include: Greeting and handling all guest check-in/out Scheduling appointments based on timing and stylist skills Answering a multi-line phone system, and directing calls as needed Replying to client emails and online reviews Creating marketing campaigns to increase client count Community outreach for neighborhood businesses and residents Planning salon business and events based on sales goals Tracking inventory as well as entering new products into computer systems Ordering salon supplies Working closely with salon's owner to plan salon events Providing makeup services for clients, including Bridal & Special Events The ideal candidate must have: Outstanding written and communication skills A friendly and inviting demeanor Strong organizational skills A willingness to assist other team members when needed Previous salon or hospitality experience Applicant Requirements: Applicants must submit a resume Applicant must submit a portfolio of their work Applicant should have experience in event makeup Must be able to work on Saturdays & Sundays Compensation: $16/Hour + Commission Powered by JazzHR Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Part-time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Internet Publishing This job is active and accepting applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
