Graphic Designer – Brady Corporation
Brady Corporation is seeking a Graphic Designer who, under general supervision, creates proofs and production artwork for custom identification products. This role serves as the face of Customer Operations and Production, translating requests into deliverables while supporting departmental projects and multiple value streams in operations.
Responsibilities
- Creates proofs and production artwork; advises on layout, typefaces, colors, and styles for custom identification products.
- Works in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Illustrator and InDesign; familiar with barcode creation and symbology.
- Resolves customer service inquiries effectively with limited supervision.
- Assesses request issues, clarifies details, and provides solutions, offering constructive feedback.
- Ensures strong attention to detail, meeting customer, product, and industry specifications.
- Supports process improvement through collaboration with peers across departments and leadership.
- Builds effective relationships within the team and Customer Operations across all Brady divisions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in graphic design or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience as a graphic designer, production artist, pre‑press printing or equivalent role.
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and under pressure, making independent decisions.
- Problem‑solving skills with root‑cause identification and assessment of standard operating procedures.
- Capability to identify process gaps or opportunities from incomplete information and drive improvement initiatives.
- Effective time‑management and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate discussions in a large group setting.
- Customer‑lobbying focus through account management and professional communication.
