Position Overview GoodTalk is looking for a hands‑on, highly organized Social Media Strategist to own and grow the GoodTalk brand social accounts. This high‑accountability role focuses on strategy, execution, content packaging, analytics, and community building across GoodTalk’s socials. You’ll work closely with company leadership, marketing, and content teams to plan and publish content, develop a consistent voice, and drive measurable growth and engagement. Key Responsibilities Own day‑to‑day management of the @goodtalk Instagram handle and coordinate content support and posting for @thegoodtalkshow. Develop and execute an overall social media strategy in line with brand direction and guidelines. Coordinate collaborative posts with internal team members and partners when needed. Plan and execute new release announcements and content (music, merch, shows, etc.). Write all captions and ensure they are aligned with brand voice and approved by relevant stakeholders. Build and maintain a comprehensive content calendar covering: GoodTalk Show content New releases Anniversaries and milestones Clothing and merch drops Lifestyle and culture content Ensure consistent posting, reposting, and engagement (comments, replies, story interactions) to build awareness and community. Execute posting for merchandising and product rollouts. Lead community management, including features like IG broadcast channels and other engagement tools. Stay current on new platform features, trends, and best practices, and recommend ways to incorporate them into GoodTalk’s social strategy. Provide weekly growth analytics reports (followers, reach, engagement, etc.) to internal stakeholders. Provide monthly KPI breakdowns, including follower growth, engagement rates, reach, top‑performing posts, and key learnings/experiments to test next. Regularly sync with leadership, marketing, and content teams to align on priorities and performance. GoodTalk Show Specific Tasks Review each episode and select timestamps for social clips. Share timestamps with video editors / social clip editors for content creation. Coordinate posting of these clips on the @goodtalk & @thegoodtalkshow Instagram accounts. Help maintain The GoodTalk Show Patreon, including uploading episodes and bonus content, assisting with programming, descriptions, and content organization, and supporting strategies to drive Patreon subscriptions and engagement. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in social media management, strategy, or digital marketing (entertainment, music, podcasting, or culture‑focused brands a plus). Proven experience growing and managing an Instagram account or similar social channels. Strong understanding of social content formats (Reels, Stories, carousels, collab posts, etc.). Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to match and maintain a consistent brand voice. Comfortable working with content calendars, scheduling tools, and analytics dashboards. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple posts, releases, and campaigns at once. Data‑driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and propose experiments based on performance. Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams. Familiarity with Patreon or subscription content platforms is a plus.
