The Role Associate Photographers are the versatile team responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Using top-of-the-line Pro 3 Matterport cameras, digital photography equipment and iPads, Associate Photographers create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes. Each Photographer is assigned a core territory and services clients of Homes.com and Apartments.com. Photographers schedule defined appointments to scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras, capturing virtual tours and floor plans. They also perform residential photography for marketing purposes. This role collaborates with clients, sales, logistics, and the management team and is remotely supervised by a Photography Manager located in local markets. Responsibilities Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3-D virtual tours and footprints. Create a photography portfolio that best features homes and apartments using techniques to showcase spaces effectively. Coordinate with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands. Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks. When not photographing residential properties, navigate one-mile square grids to identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to photograph. Adhere to CoStar safety standards to safeguard vehicles and equipment. Represent CoStar professionally at all times. Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed. Physical Requirements Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds. Repetitive hand and arm movements for typing on a tablet or laptop and operating camera equipment. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying. Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons. Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule. Qualifications At least 2 years of professional experience. Real estate photography experience required. Experience as a professional photographer, or a recently earned degree in photography. Drone photography experience with FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer. Strong time management and detail-oriented skills. Ability to accurately capture and enter data. Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills. Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Field experience preferred. Current and valid driver’s license required. Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record check prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior. Compensation The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible, with bonuses paid on a monthly cycle based on performance against predefined metrics. The position offers an hourly wage equating to $49,000–$50,000 annually, depending on skills and experience, plus a generous benefits plan. What’s In It For You?
