Public Relations, Partnerships & Events Assistant (Contract)

Location: New York City

Duration: M-F, 5 days a week. (Sometimes needed on nights and weekends closer to the show)

5–6 weeks, surrounding NYFW (February Show)

Compensation: Flat fee (amount to be discussed)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful assistant to support our PR, Partnerships & Events team in the lead‑up to and execution of New York Fashion Week. This temporary role will work closely with senior team members to ensure seamless production, partner deliverables, media coordination, talent dressing, and day‑of show logistics.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong sense of urgency, impeccable communication skills, and a passion for the fast‑paced world of fashion and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the PR, Partnerships & Events Director in day‑to‑day operational needs leading up to NYFW
  • Support brand partner activations, product placement, and backstage logistics
  • Help manage guest lists & influencer
  • Coordinate with stylists, showrooms, glam teams, suppliers, couriers, and vendors
  • Organize samples, clothing pulls, returns, and inventory tracking
  • Assist during castings, fittings, rehearsals, and show day
  • Maintain internal trackers, schedules, and project documentation
  • Provide on‑site support during events, installations, dinners, and show experiences
  • Help oversee PR/Partnership interns and delegate tasks when needed
  • Manage administrative duties and admin assistance to PR Director and Creative Director

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in PR, events, fashion, communications, or partnerships preferred
  • Extremely detail‑oriented with excellent multitasking skills
  • Comfortable working in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to problem‑solve and anticipate needs without constant direction
  • Must be NYC‑based and available evenings/weekends when necessary
  • Proficient with Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, basic project management tools
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion

You are proactive and solutions‑driven. You’re the person who keeps things moving, anticipates what needs to happen next, and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed, from backstage prep to managing VIP arrivals.

Schedule

  • Start: Approximately Jan 19th
  • Heavy on‑site support during NYFW week
  • Some evenings and weekend hours will be required closer to NYFW show
