Studio Services Assistant Job at Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District

The Library is looking for a creative and customer-service oriented candidate to work in our Studio1405 Makerspace Department. Candidates should have background in video and/or audio technology. The position includes developing and leading maker programs as well as assisting patrons with Makerspace creative technologies including 3D printing, laser-cutting, etc. Experience Preference for candidates with demonstrated knowledge and skill in photography/videography and/or audio production. Familiarity with makerspace equipment and software including 3D printing, audio production software, and other makerspace technology is a plus. Public library experience preferred. Education Two-year Associate's degree in videography or audio production, or 4-year degree in related fields preferred. College students with relevant experience will be considered. Benefits Include pro-rated paid vacation, sick, and holiday time as well as participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). Poplar Creek Public Library District, Cook County Hours 25 hours weekly: Scheduled hours: Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 4-9; Thursdays & Fridays: 9-2 (alternating based on weekend rotation); Saturdays: 9-2 (alternating); Sundays: 12-5 (alternating).
