This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester.
Each applicant will have to audition for each position.
The audition will consist of the following: reading off a teleprompter, ad‑libbing the weather with the use of weather maps and forecasts (no meteorology experience is necessary), and ad‑libbing sports based on videos and scores.
Required Qualifications Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
Be able to clearly speak and read English.
Be available every Friday from 12:00 pm–2:00 pm (except if the Friday is a University holiday) to film.
Must be available during the week to train and practice before filming on Friday.
Must practice good hygiene, keep a clean and kempt appearance, and have access to business casual clothing to wear on air.
Preferred Qualifications Communication and Mass Media students (preferred, but not required).
Physical Demands Ability to stand 2–4 hours at a time on occasion.
Ability to occasionally lift approximately 25 lbs if necessary.
Salary: $10.00 hr
