Job Title: Librarian IV – Tulare County Library, Visalia, California (Hybrid)
Salary: $74,052 – $90,249 per year
Employment Type: Full‑time, indefinite duration
Location: Visalia, California (hybrid work options)

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage the main library or a region with system-wide responsibilities.
Prepare a variety of correspondence, grants, reports, surveys, and budgets.
Conduct research and stay current on library programs and services.
Develop and recommend changes to policies, procedures, personnel, budgets, and services.
Work with the county, community groups, schools, and other resources representing the library.
Plan, organize, and supervise staff and various special projects.
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent from an American Library Association accredited institution.
Five (5) years of librarian experience, including demonstrated growth in supervision and management responsibilities with at least one year in a supervisory role equivalent to a Librarian III.
One year as a library paraprofessional with demonstrated growth in supervision and management responsibilities can substitute one year of librarian experience.
Experience managing and supervising a large branch library and system‑wide programs and services is desirable.
Position is primarily onsite with occasional outreach and work-from-home opportunities.
