Mahoning County Common Pleas Court OFFICIAL COURT REPORTER ANNUAL SALARY : $68,952 plus transcripts QUALIFICATIONS Must have completed an accredited court reporting program RPR certification is preferred Must be an Ohio Notary Public Qualified applicants may be required to submit to testing ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with a pool of reporters, rotating courtrooms every week Creating verbatim records and transcribing court proceedings using computer-aided transcription on appeal or whenever requested Option to transcribe trials or hearings from digital recordings Maintaining all exhibits used in trials or hearings and filing them when needed Maintaining personal job log and entering information into the computer Able to perform real-time services Answer telephones SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent spelling, reading, and grammatical skills Attention to detail and accuracy Effective time management, reliability and punctuality Ability to work professionally and collegially with other personnel Professional appearance and demeanor BENEFITS AND PERKS Accumulated vacation time and sick time All equipment, software (Eclipse), and supplies provided #J-18808-Ljbffr
