Join to apply for the Service Writer role at Whiteford Kenworth Inc Job Summary As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary liaison between customers and our service department. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service experiences, overseeing service orders, and coordinating repairs and maintenance for heavy duty trucks. Responsibilities Welcome customers warmly and promptly, either in person or over the phone, while assessing their service needs. Communicate to customers service recommendations, estimated costs, and any changes to repair orders while ensuring clear understanding and obtaining proper authorization. Coordinate service appointments and create comprehensive repair orders. Maintain detailed and accurate records of service history, vehicle information, and customer interactions, including customer comments and concerns, to assist technicians in diagnostics. Establish customer method of payment and obtain credit approval if necessary. Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns during or after service completion. Facilitate clear and effective communication by various methods such as in-person discussions, phone calls, and emails with customers and all company team members. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor and appearance. Uphold company standards in all customer interactions and service processes. Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company rules, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of the role. Keep work area clean. Other duties as assigned.
