About the Job
The New Recruit AVL Technician works on-site at Summit Integrated project sites following industry standards and project plans. They take direction from the Project Foreman and Lead Technicians to execute installation tasks across various AVL system installation projects. The New Recruit AVL Technician has limited AVL knowledge and is building proficiency in basic installation areas (Wire Pull, Terminations, Basic Rigging, Basic Field Install) while working under close supervision. All essential functions must be performed without endangering the health and or safety of the individual or others.

Responsibilities
Complete AVL Technician Basic Training and Summit Onboarding within 90 days of hire.
Focus on delivering top-quality results in every task. Pay attention to details and follow the best practices to make sure everything is done correctly according to Summit Standards and Industry Best Practice.
Use tools and materials that help speed things up, and work with your team to find the best methods on site. Regularly check in with leads & foreman on how well you are doing to make sure you are working efficiently, and completing the required amount of work.
Builds & maintain fundamental, intermediate & advanced skillsets
Actively participate in project preparation efforts, alongside the crew & foreman. Attend & engage in all project meetings, 1-1s, town halls, company wide events & other meetings as designated by leadership. Maintain active login credentials for company tools, stay updated on schedules, and submit expense reports, hours, & PTO/RTO requests in a timely manner. Assist with events, shop assembly, and custom fabrication as needed.

Job Requirements
Hours are variable, and will frequently be required to work overtime while on‑site, followed by periods of unpaid time off. Hours generally average annually to 1 full‑time employee. Required to be available for work seven days per week, Monday through Sunday.
High School Diploma or GED.
OSHA‑10 Certification, Aerial Scissor, Boom and Forklift Certifications. Current DOT physical and Safety Certifications. (May be provided by Summit)
Additional Experience
The ability to understand and solve problems, multitask numerous activities/projects and handle unexpected situations with calm and good judgment.
Adhere to routine verbal and/or written instructions.
Working under deadlines with speed and accuracy.
Working Conditions
Occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds to shoulder height and overhead.
Occasionally push, pull, or move up to 90 pounds on carts, and carry or move up to 50 pounds over short distances.
Frequently required to stand, walk, or move for 8+ hours, including bending, twisting, reaching (forward and above the head), crouching, squatting, stooping, and kneeling.
Ability to climb and work at heights of 6+ feet, including the use of ladders or steps.
Work Location
In person, based from our headquarters in Colorado. This is primarily a traveling position, estimated at 32 weeks a year of travel.

New Recruit, entry level – starting at $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
Junior AVL Tech – starting at $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Advanced Tech – starting at $21.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
