Position Summary
Plans, organizes, directs, and manages all aspects of children’s and young adult library services to meet the objectives identified in library planning documents and community needs. Plans, organizes, and conducts library programs for children and youth from infancy through age 18.
Desired Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree in Library or Information Science, or enrollment in a Master of Library Science program, preferred.
One (1) year of experience working with children or young adults, preferably in a public or school library.
Familiarity with children or young adult literature, preferred.
Any relevant combination of education, experience and training may be substituted to meet the minimum requirements.
