External/Digital Communications Specialist Supports planning, creation, and day‑to‑day management of internal communications strategy for a leading construction management company. Executes social, web, and campaign activities that promote the company’s brand, highlight project success, and strengthen digital presence.

Salary $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Social Media & Digital Execution

Draft and schedule daily/weekly social media posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube following the brand, social media strategy, and writing guidelines.

Support the content and editorial calendars and coordinate with internal partners to source timely updates.

Monitor social channels daily, document sentiment, flag potential issues, and respond to comments and direct messages.

Execute manual posting to platforms such as Glassdoor and Handshake in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Support paid campaign setup and tracking under senior specialist guidance.

Collaborate with the creative team on visuals, templates, and multimedia assets that support ongoing social media posts and campaigns.

Refresh social media banners and visuals quarterly with the creative team.

Content Collection & Coordination

Gather photos, stories, and project highlights from teams across the business in accordance with marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Upload and organize content assets (photos, quotes, documents) in Open Asset and shared libraries.

Track and manage requests for content tied to campaigns, award submissions, and events.

Support creation of project profiles and website content updates.

Website & SEO Support

Upload and update project profiles, leadership bios, and thought‑leadership articles.

Assist with annual website audits and help maintain content accuracy.

Support keyword research and apply SEO updates under the direction of the manager or senior specialist.

Campaign Support

Support the execution of marketing and partnership campaigns.

Assist with logistics and content for awards and trade show/conference tracking.

Create Bitly links and playlists for YouTube uploads.

Analytics & Reporting

Collect and organize performance data for social, web, and other campaign metrics.

Draft monthly reporting decks for review by senior specialist.

Conduct industry research and competitor activity to flag new trends or opportunities.

Collaboration & Team Support

Partner with the Communications team to cross‑promote stories and maintain message consistency.

Participate in content planning meetings and contribute ideas for campaigns.

Assist with the Talent Community newsletters as needed.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in communications, marketing, or digital media.

Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and tone.

Proficiency with social media management tools (Hootsuite or similar).

Basic knowledge of SEO and web content management systems.

Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.

Timely and accurate execution of posting schedules.

Growth in engagement and consistency across social channels.

Improved accuracy and quality of website and campaign content.

Reliable delivery of data and reporting for leadership review.

Positive collaboration feedback from internal and external partners.
