Position Overview The Planning team builds and maintains strong client relationships. Their focus is to think strategically about the business, develop business by building opportunities and actively contribute to the planning process. This team effectively problem‑solves, generates innovative solutions and displays energy and passion for the work presented. To be most successful at Mediahub, you must be organized, creative, and confident to support media issues relative to your account(s).
The successful candidate must also maintain a positive attitude in the face of a constantly changing environment, be a problem solver and professional in all communications both inside the agency and with clients. We are looking for a high‑energy individual who thrives on creating disruptive efforts in media, yet at the same time understands how data/tech drive business.
Responsibilities
Provides high‑level leadership with the implementation of processes for the management of the strategic and tactical execution of all media products across all teams.
Oversees the execution of policies and plans of the media planning discipline and of the agency across all teams.
High‑level leadership over creation of platforms for communications across teams and across disciplines.
High‑level leadership to Planning Team with client perspectives, insights, goals and strategies.
Provides Planning Team with senior‑management perspectives, insights and goals.
Leads the evolution of recommendations of long‑term strategies.
Oversees the review of all media products and makes adjustments as necessary to raise the benchmark of excellence for the agency’s media products.
Possesses a complete understanding of all clients’ businesses.
Responsible for developing the skill and knowledge base of those more junior as well as supervise, advise and counsel all members of the Planning Team.
Provides senior‑level mentorship and motivates Planners, encouraging innovation and creativity throughout all projects by serving as a role model across all groups/teams. Identifies and develops promising personnel with Human Resources; evaluates and communicates planning staff development needs in terms of rotation and promotion to ensure high‑quality personnel.
Leads teams in setting strategies for developing media plans.
Leads where needed to present and sell plans to agency management and clients.
Ensures the achievement of annual goal initiatives.
Leads all agency Media Planning budgets and compensation plans.
Sets future budgets to include growth in research and external education.
Qualifications
10+ years of agency experience required.
Must be performance‑driven, client‑centric, street‑smart, and nothing short of amazing in front of clients and prospects.
The ideal candidate must have marquee, national agency experience, excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Must have marketing & brand strategy expertise, be a proven ad agency leader & performer, possess excellent client service and team‑building skills, and have a proven track record with securing new business.
Manages solid client relationships to more effectively sell ideas and contribute to positive agency evaluations.
