Commercial Account Executive – Tech & Media Join Salesforce as a Commercial Account Executive focused on the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications industries. In this role you will work with growing organizations (250–10,000 employees) to deliver the Salesforce Customer 360 platform.

Description Our up‑market Commercial team focuses on businesses in the following size ranges:

Mid‑Commercial (201–1,000 employees)

General Commercial (1,001–5,000 employees)

Enterprise Corporate Sales (5,000+ employees)

This role specifically sells into accounts within the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology industries. You may be aligned to any of the following clouds:

Slack

NetZero Cloud

Tableau

Marketing Cloud

Service Cloud

Specialization Cloud

Digital

Day to Day Commercial Account Executives build trusted relationships with key stakeholder teams and C‑suite decision makers. You will generate opportunity through warm leads and white‑space prospecting, coordinating internal resources and aligning strategy with the customer’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts.

Develop and drive the overall long‑term strategy for the account, aligned with customer business objectives.

Coordinate internal Salesforce resources to meet customer business needs.

Perform account planning at assigned accounts, coordinating with Prime and Cloud sales resources to ensure strategic alignment.

Share Salesforce value proposition for existing and/or new customers.

Drive growth within an existing assigned account.

Preferred Qualifications

5–10 years of full‑cycle sales experience, with at least 3 years in the field.

Proven experience managing existing customer accounts to drive upsell/cross‑sell opportunities, or a focus on new‑logo acquisition (Hunter role).

Ability to build and deliver presentations to customers.

Ability to strategize with a large extended team.

Experience evaluated against core competencies such as extracurricular leadership, military, volunteer or professional experience.
