About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in Strategy Consulting, is looking for a skilled
Front-End/UI Developer
to join their team for a permanent role. The firm is expanding its capabilities and is seeking a hybrid design and engineering expert to create and build engaging, client-facing tools. This brand-new, high-impact position is designed to fill a critical gap—the need for strong visual design and interaction expertise to complement their existing backend and data teams. This role requires a self‑motivated professional who can blend design, prototyping, and implementation to deliver superior user experiences quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Design & Prototyping:
Paper prototyping, creating click‑through demos, building end‑to‑end Figma app walkthroughs, and developing component/asset libraries.
Visual Storytelling:
Developing visual communication for analytics, charts, and maps, and communicating design and technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical teams.
Front‑End Development:
Implementing production‑ready designs using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks, with a preference for React or Svelte.
Deployment & Integration:
Deploying applications to platforms like Vercel or Netlify, understanding backend constraints (APIs, Parquet files, S3), and migrating Python‑based dashboards (e.g., Matplotlib) into proper web tools.
AI Workflow Layer:
Building applications on top of LLMs to create agentic workflows for clients, such as matching products to customers and generating personalized offers (Note: this is an application building role, not an LLM development role).
Required Skills & Experience
Hybrid Skill Set:
A strong design and engineering hybrid skill set with a proven UI/UX portfolio and strong visual communication skills of 5+ years.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front‑end frameworks (React is preferred, or Angular, Vue).
Design & Prototyping:
Strong grasp of UI/UX principles, with proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools including Figma.
Deployment & Backend Knowledge:
Deployment experience (Vercel, Netlify, AWS), understanding of RESTful APIs, Node.js, and server‑side development (e.g., Express, Java, or Python), and familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Data Visualization:
Familiarity with data visualization libraries like D3, Recharts, or dashboarding tools.
Soft Skills:
A mix of creativity, technical depth, and a collaborative mindset, with a passion for clean design, intuitive user experiences, and scalable architecture.
Preferred Experience:
Experience at design tool companies (e.g., Figma), small digital agencies, or consulting innovation labs (e.g., Deloitte Digital, BCG DV).
