As the
Manager of Advertising Product Analytics
at Best Buy, you will contribute to a technically focused analytics function supporting our Retail Media Network. This role centers on building scalable data solutions, querying complex datasets, and developing health dashboards and reports that provide visibility into ad inventory, yield, adoption and performance.
You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights through automated reporting and advanced visualizations. Your work will directly inform pricing strategies, product reporting, executive dashboards, and more, helping shape the future of Best Buy’s advertising products.
This role is
hybrid , which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed in this posting and some days virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
Play a critical role in building an industry–leading product analytics function for Best Buy’s Retail Media Network, defining objectives, building out automated data flows and reporting dashboards.
Produce and maintain actionable reporting and insights for business stakeholders to understand advertising product health and increase utilization across onsite and off‑site advertising products.
Build informative key metrics, diagnostic metrics, segmentation, and financial trends analysis, supporting future decisions of ad products.
Routinely engage with and evaluate new technologies and solutions which may be employed to further the team’s goals.
Collaborate with business partners to develop detailed plans for existing and new campaign reporting and insights opportunities.
Basic qualifications
5+ years progressive analytics experience
2+ years with reporting and/or database knowledge and experience
2+ years data modeling and visualization expertise in Tableau or Looker (nice to have) or other similar analytical suites
Familiarity with enterprise cloud data systems (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, etc.)
3+ years of ETL experience including hands‑on experience with Python and SQL.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and related languages for querying large, complex datasets across cloud and on‑premise environments
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent experience. MBA / Master’s Degree. Retail Media Network / Digital Publishing / Agency background
Experience working with / leveraging operational and workflow platforms like Salesforce, Workfront, Adobe
Experience using AI and ML analytics techniques or solutions to drive insights, visuals or other analytics outputs
Experience working with relational and columnar databases or in Cleanrooms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Liveramp, PostgreSQL) to extract, transform, and analyze advertising performance data.
Ability to extract insights, trends, and stories from data sets and reports.
