Job Description: Join the University of Florida’s Office of Professional and Workforce Development (OPWD) as a Marketing Assistant and help elevate the visibility and impact of UF’s professional, continuing, and workforce education programs. In this role, you’ll assist in supporting social media posting, planning and execution of digital and print campaigns, and collaborate with campus and community partners to ensure brand alignment. Reporting to the Marketing and Communication Specialist, the Marketing Assistant supports the University of Florida’s Office of Professional and Workforce Development (OPWD) in promoting and expanding the visibility of professional, continuing, and workforce education programs. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of marketing strategies that enhance awareness, increase enrollments, and strengthen the OPWD brand within the University of Florida and across the state. The incumbent assists in coordinating digital and print marketing campaigns, manages social media presence, and collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with UF brand standards. The Marketing Specialist applies analytical, creative, and strategic skills to help communicate the value of UF’s workforce development initiatives to a broad audience, supporting OPWD’s mission to extend the university’s reach through accessible, high-quality education and training programs. Social Media and Multimedia

Assists in updating OPWD’s social media across selected social media platforms. Develops and schedules posts that drive engagement and reflect UF’s tone and mission. Assists in coordinating video, audio, and multimedia projects from planning through post-production to support program launches and events. Marketing Strategy and Program Promotion

Assists in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies for OPWD’s training programs and courses. Translate program and course content into engaging, clear messaging for press releases, brochures, course launches, and advertising campaigns. Participates in collaboration efforts with UF partners to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all platforms. Digital Media and Campaign Management

Assists in the design, production, and delivery of digital content and creatives for marketing campaigns. Assists in performing market research to assess potential audiences, program demand, and platform effectiveness. Assists in the planning, management, and analysis of digital marketing and advertising campaigns, monitoring metrics and providing performance reports. Implements contracted digital marketing efforts for self-funded programs and external campus entities. Research, Reporting, and Collaboration

Assists in the development of surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires to collect and analyze customer data, preferences, and satisfaction levels. Translates marketing performance data into written and visual reports for leadership and stakeholders. Works collaboratively with internal UF departments and external partners to promote upcoming events and program highlights. Perform other duties as assigned. $24 - $27 hourly Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education, workforce development, or continuing education marketing. Proficiency in Google Analytics, SEO, and digital advertising tools (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager). Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar content creation platforms. Knowledge of email marketing systems, e.g., ActiveCampaign and CRM tools. Demonstrated ability to create compelling digital and print content aligned with institutional brand guidelines.
