The Post-Production Apprentice position exists to learn and develop the ability to post-produce the audio for original episodes of Adventures in Odyssey audio dramas.
Responsibilities
Become immersed in the world of Adventures in Odyssey, learning the show’s history, characters, locations, and devices.
Assist in post-producing the audio for Adventures in Odyssey episodes.
Revise the audio for post‑produced episodes as directed.
Attend recording sessions for the purpose of learning and facilitating the recording of episodes when requested by Executive Producer or Post‑Production Director.
Learn the complete audio post‑production process, from recording through mastering.
Read scripts and provide helpful input.
Assist other audio engineers/sound designers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job None
Working Environment/Physical Requirements May be required to travel occasionally, including nights and weekends.

Knowledge / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Audio and/or Film Production with an emphasis in audio, or Communications Preferred.
1‑3 years of experience in audio post‑production.
Thorough knowledge of the Bible and Christian worldview.
Working knowledge of Adventures in Odyssey, Focus on the Family mission, philosophy, values, and objectives.
Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents / Gifts
Advanced post‑production skills; ability to produce to various styles and genres.
Ability to both think and produce creatively.
Ability to clearly articulate and defend a position.
Ability to deal with stress due to deadline pressure.
Basic organizational skills.
Ability to apply imaginative approaches to others’ ideas.
Competent in use of Pro Tools as well as plugins and outboard gear.
Competent as a recording engineer in communicating production needs during session and running recording studio equipment.
Ability to work primarily alone.
Salary Range $18.00 to $21.00/hr
