Job Description
ECU School of Art and Design is currently seeking several Photography Lab Assistants to maintain the Photography area lab and studio spaces and fulfill the following duties:
Making sure the area is set up and ready for students.
Monitoring the labs and making sure that students that are working are using the tools and equipment in a safe manor.
Keeping lab/studio spaces (darkroom, alt process, film processing, digital lab, finishing room, and lighting studio) clean and tidy on daily basis.
Refilling chemistry, changing inks, and organizing supplies as needed.
Assisting with equipment in the lighting studio, check out and checking in.
Assisting students with printing, framing, and other tasks as appropriate.
Reporting any issues or necessary repairs.
Hours and times to be determined by professor and student. Weekend and evening hours are needed.
Hourly rate is $10.
Photography students are preferred but will train a dedicated individual. Applicants should be in good academic standing.
