Job Overview ATS is seeking Level I RT Technicians to support work at Newport News, VA shipyard. Must be able to certify Level I RT for NAVSEA applications. Competitive pay and per diem are offered during a temporary assignment. The duration of the project is undetermined.

Qualifications & Requirements

State or IRRSP Gamma card required

40 hours of RT Level I classroom training

210 hours minimum RT gamma experience

400 total experience hours (OJT) in NDT

Copy of high school diploma

Copy of valid driver’s license

Copy of original birth certificate

All applicants must:

Learn and comply with all company policies and procedures

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pass a drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Be a U.S. Person (citizenship, permanent residents, refugees, or asylum holders)

Work Conditions

Wear safety equipment as required

Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, and man-baskets

Work in confined spaces requiring crawling, stooping, or climbing

Work around operating equipment and industrial environments

Handle radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.

Shifts up to 12 hours/day, 7 days/week, with potential travel for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds

Work Schedule & Location Site: Newport News, VA Shipbuilding (NNS). Work Schedule: 40+ hours per week. Per Diem: Eligible if more than 50 miles from permanent residence.
