organized and can juggle many engagements and deadlines.
Creativity: To help law enforcement partners develop new and creative approaches to identifying and securing funding sources, you possess a creative and engaging writing and communication style.
Detail-oriented: To help law enforcement partners identify and develop successful applications, you are a perfectionist who is diligent about requirements, guidelines, and deadlines.
Industry Knowledge: To support public safety initiatives, you have knowledge of and experience working with law enforcement.
Persistence: To succeed in finding and successfully applying for grants despite long timelines, you have the vision and persistence to embrace the long-term nature of grant application, awards and disbursement.
Your success: Your success will be measured by the creation of a robust pipeline of grant funded opportunities that you establish through the cultivation of collaborative relationships with, creation of grant resources for and support to the sales organizations and law enforcement agency partners.
Your key responsibilities:
Research various types of grants available to law enforcement organizations and compile key information about each, including but not limited to, criteria to qualify, application requirements, and deadlines.
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with sales, sales engineering and business development teams.
Maintain proficient knowledge of current and emerging trends in public safety related to digital forensics and company product capabilities.
Develop and maintain background information on grants and other public funding sources for law enforcement agencies to acquire our Firm’s products.
Cultivate strong relationships with law enforcement agencies and associations.
Assist law enforcement agencies with the entire grant application life cycle, from identification of available grants, assistance with the application process (requirements, milestones, content development, reviews and deadlines), and to tracking progress of grant through closure and post-award execution.
Develop and maintain a library of gold standards, reference language, success stories, and use cases for agency use in grant applications.
Requirements:
3+ years of grant writing experience
Proven success and work experience as a grant writer or similar role
Powerful mix of business, technology, financial and people skills
Passionate and driven by business results
Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals
Proficient in Microsoft Suite; experience using Salesforce or similar databases.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
