This role will be responsible for leading a team of instructional designers to deliver a diverse set of learning experiences to support our Retail Bank teams. The leader will partner closely with other learning leaders and key business partners to create custom learning strategies, empower their team to analyze learning needs, design and develop blended learning solutions from raw materials, and measure and report on learning effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate

Expert in adult learning theory, cognitive science, and evidence‑based learning fields, with a passion for staying on top of the latest research developments, tools, and technologies.

Collaborative relationship manager who can partner across learning teams and business partners to balance learning best practices with business needs and constraints.

Strategic learning partner who stays current with emerging design trends, anticipates future learning needs, solves problems systemically, balances long‑term vision with operational excellence, and manages multiple priorities effectively.

Insight‑driven storyteller who uses feedback, data, and insights to declare a problem statement, drive decisions with continuous improvement, and communicate with clarity and influence across a variety of audiences and levels.

Key Responsibilities

Develop your team to be well‑rounded learning professionals through business acumen, design integrity, tools and technology, adult learning theory, and professional skills.

Keep a pulse on team capacity and prioritization to delegate work effectively and communicate expectations with partners.

Stay in sync with business cycles to anticipate learning needs, make informed decisions, and recommend proactive solutions.

Use data‑driven insights to identify and communicate team impact and make recommendations on future learning strategy.

Collaborate with other learning leaders to identify opportunities for efficiencies throughout the learning design process or by leveraging existing materials.

Help establish processes, norms, and best practices across teams that support collaboration and learning design excellence.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.

At least 2 years of experience in people leadership.

At least 3 years of experience in client‑facing consulting.

At least 5 years of experience as a learning designer, designing learning experiences across digital and in‑person learning environments.

At least 1 year of experience in learning strategy creation.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years’ experience working in a call center environment.

1+ years’ experience working in a customer‑facing environment.

1+ years’ experience in change management.

2+ years of experience in learning strategy creation.

1+ years’ experience with multi‑modal learning strategies.

Salary ranges by location:

McLean, VA: $126,700 – $144,600

Plano, TX: $115,200 – $131,500

Richmond, VA: $115,200 – $131,500

Wilmington, DE: $115,200 – $131,500
