Job Summary Under the Manager of Talent Development, will support the Talent Acquisition and Development Department. Assists both internal and external TriWest customers achieve their performance goals by developing instructionally sound training materials and strategies. Collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts, creates storyboards/process maps, and hands the storyboard/process map off to development team. Teaches departmental staff and others the fundamentals of adult learning theory and instructional design.

Education & Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Training & Development or related field

5 years of instructional design experience using recognized ISD models

4 years experience creating storyboards/process maps for web-based deployment

Multimedia instructional design expertise

Experience in designing self-paced, instructor-led, blended learning, video, and e-Learning training programs

Preferred

Master's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Training & Development or related field

Experience using multimedia/graphics software

Key Responsibilities

Define learning objectives

Partner with delivery team/subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments

Perform job, task, and learner analyses

Select media (for example, computer-based training, video, print based)

Develop curriculum plans

Write, develop, and revise instructor and participant course materials

Prepare job aids

Conduct pilot tests of materials

Make training intervention recommendations

Develop specific instructional strategies and macro-/micro-level design documents for individual courses

Facilitate small and large group interventions

Serve as a Design Consultant to other Training & Career Development staff

Develop training evaluations

Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Working Conditions

Must be available to cover any work shift

Works in a standard office environment, with limited travel

Extensive computer work with prolonged sitting

Level II IT security clearance required
