About the Role WRK Construction is seeking a
Designer
specializing in home remodeling to lead the design and selection process for our custom residential remodeling projects. This role bridges communication between clients, sales, estimating, and production teams to ensure every project runs smoothly—from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Client Design & Consultation:
Meet with clients to understand goals, style, and budget. Create initial sketches and refine concepts based on feedback.
Selections & Materials:
Curate and document all material and finish selections, develop mood boards, and coordinate vendor appointments.
Design Documentation:
Prepare bid‑ready sketches, elevations, and selection lists. Maintain up‑to‑date information in project management software.
Client Communication:
Provide regular design updates, manage change orders, and support clients throughout the design phase.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with estimating and production teams to ensure accurate handoffs, resolve design‑related issues, and clarify specifications as needed.
Industry Insight:
Stay current on design trends, materials, and vendor offerings to bring fresh ideas to client projects.
Requirements
Experience in residential remodeling or design coordination.
Proficiency in
Google Workspace ,
Microsoft Office , and
Dropbox .
Familiarity with
Chief Architect
or similar design software.
Experience with
Buildertrend
or other project management tools preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Details
Schedule:
40 hours/week , typically
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Work Environment: Office‑based with flexibility for client meetings, vendor visits, and site appointments.
