Purpose of the role
We’re seeking a creative, detail-oriented marketeer who’s passionate about wildlife conservation and excited by the opportunity to help grow and enrich our Zoo membership community. This is an amazing chance to join ZSL’s dynamic marketing team and play a pivotal role in connecting people with our mission to protect wildlife and restore nature.
As ZSL’s Membership Executive, you’ll help drive the day‑to‑day delivery of our Gold and Silver membership programmes. Co‑ordinating engaging member communications, supporting impactful marketing campaigns, and ensuring our systems, processes and data run seamlessly. Your work will directly enhance the member experience and support a global movement for conservation.
Key responsibilities
Marketing Campaign Delivery : Deliver and support member acquisition and retention marketing campaigns, including copywriting, email building and reporting.
Member Communications Management : Co‑ordinate regular member communications and ensure all membership materials, content and web pages are accurate, engaging and on brand.
Process & Data Quality Improvement : Maintain and improve membership processes and data quality, working closely with Supporter Contact, IT and CRM teams.
Member Experience & Events Support : Monitor member feedback, support customer service improvements and assist with the smooth delivery of member events and previews.
Project & Administrative Support : Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and provide essential team administration support, including budget updates and purchase order management.
About You
Experience of working in a Membership‑based attraction or charity, with a strong understanding of database and campaign marketing.
Confident working with large data sets, CRM systems (ideally Tessitura) and Excel, with excellent attention to detail.
Skilled in managing creative and marketing processes, including copywriting, design approvals and co‑ordinating external suppliers.
Strong organisational and project‑management abilities, with the capacity to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communicator who can work autonomously and collaboratively across teams, with financial awareness and solid reporting skills.
