We’re hiring a

Commerce Reporter

for the revenue-generating commerce team. You will publish fast, useful shopping stories that help readers buy with confidence and help grow revenue across the New York Post Digital Network, including the New York Post and potentially Page Six and Decider.

Your beat centers on consumer tech and money-impact categories. Think smart home and home devices, cleaning and appliances, security and privacy, connectivity and streaming, plus finance‑adjacent services that help readers save or safeguard value, including VPNs and topics like gold, debt and crypto when they matter to shoppers.

Responsibilities

Publish a minimum of 3-4 commerce stories per shift across deals, explainers, how-tos and buyer’s guides, plus detailed story updates as needed. Consistent daily output is a core expectation.

Spot and pitch high‑intent stories using trends, search data and real‑time signals. Move quickly from ideation to execution.

Report, write and refresh content that converts, with clean affiliate linking and compliance.

Build sharp, scannable packages for tentpoles and live news moments.

Monitor performance and iterate headlines, framing, and placement to lift CTR, CVR, RPM, CPC and revenue opportunities.

Collaborate with commerce editors, audience, SEO and partnerships teams to plan and prioritize.

Track competitor coverage and surface new areas to win.

Support major shopping events like Prime Day and Cyber Week with extended coverage as needed.

Be willing to represent the commerce team in digital, video or social when appropriate and needed.

How We Measure Success

Daily output: 3-4 stories on average, with flexibility to scale during peak periods.

Quality signals: accuracy, clarity, usefulness and fit for NY Post voice.

Audience and revenue impact: CTR, conversion, revenue per session, search visibility and speed to publish.

Ownership: thorough understanding of your beats – proactive pitching, smart updates and on‑time delivery

What You’ll Bring

3+ years in features, news or commerce writing with strong clips.

Obsession with the commerce landscape and reader value.

Proven ability to write crisp, authoritative headlines in the iconic NY Post voice.

Working knowledge of SEO, AEO and GEO, plus social media best practices.

Comfort reading dashboards and using data to drive decisions.

Organized, adaptable and fast. Able to pivot to trends and live news without losing accuracy.

Collaborative by default. Detail‑oriented and accountable.

Nice to Have

Hands‑on familiarity with affiliate tools and networks.

Experience covering consumer tech, smart home, security, streaming, VPNs, or basic personal‑finance‑adjacent topics through a shopper lens.

Note:

This role will be expected to report on‑site 5 days per week.

Pay Range: $65,000 – $75,000
