Lenscape Media is seeking a full-time Video Editor who can transform raw footage into emotionally compelling, story-driven videos that move people and inspire action. This role is ideal for someone who loves storytelling as much as the craft of editing — someone who can interpret a creative vision, find the deeper message in a story, and bring it to life with excellence and imagination.

Role Overview The Video Editor collaborates directly with the
Creative Director
and
Project Manager
to turn vision into finished videos that meet Lenscape Media’s creative and technical standards. You’ll translate direction — sometimes abstract or conceptual — into meaningful visual stories. You’ll balance precision with creativity, working on brand stories, testimonials, short-form reels, and social campaigns for clients throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond.
Key Responsibilities Creative & Storytelling
Interpret story direction and transform raw footage into cohesive, emotionally resonant edits.
Craft pacing, rhythm, and visual flow to enhance storytelling impact.
Integrate music, sound, text, and transitions thoughtfully to elevate mood and message.
Collaborate with the Creative Director to refine tone, emotion, and overall narrative arc.
Technical & Workflow
Edit primarily in
Adobe Premiere Pro
(expert level).
Maintain organized project structures, timelines, and asset management via
Dropbox
and
Monday CRM .
Apply basic color correction, audio balancing, and text animations directly in Premiere.
Deliver multiple versions and aspect ratios (16×9, 9×16, 1×1) as needed.
Incorporate revisions quickly and accurately based on client and internal feedback.
Manage deadlines and uphold Lenscape’s high quality standards under pressure.
Attend team meetings for updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years professional experience (or equivalent proficiency) editing short-form video content.
Mastery of
Adobe Premiere Pro ; working familiarity with
After Effects ,
Photoshop , and
Lightroom
a plus.
Basic understanding of camera terminology, lighting, and on-set workflow.
Strong sense of story, pacing, emotion, and timing.
Detail-oriented and self-disciplined with excellent organizational habits.
Excellent communicator – comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating with a small, creative team.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet firm deadlines.

Structure: Hybrid – mix of in-person collaboration in the Hudson Valley + remote editing
Tools: Dropbox (for media), Monday CRM (for project tracking), Google Drive, Frame.io (for feedback)
Schedule: Primarily weekdays + (with some flexibility when required by project deadlines)
