SUMMARY OF ROLE The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for generating new client leads and closing service calls through direct sales calls. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with the professional community who are in a position to refer potential clients to our Company. Additionally, the Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining new marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Identify and develop relationships with potential referral sources, such as hospitals, physicians, senior living communities, hospices, community organizations, and senior living centers, to encourage client lead sources; Develop and manage new lead sources per blueprint and sales strategy.

Develop and secure strategic opportunities with facilities, hospitals, and employers to create structured partnerships that generate steady, repeatable streams of new clients.

Perform client assessments and coordinate with the office staff to ensure the client starts in a timely manner.

Actively promote Senior Helpers’ programs and services by creating and tailoring marketing materials, presentations, and campaigns to clearly communicate their benefits to referral partners, prospective clients, families, and community members.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local market, including competitor pricing, census trends, demographics, and service offerings, to position Senior Helpers competitively; Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and to stay up to date on industry trends.

Create and carry out a structured outreach plan that includes attending programs, events, and professional meetings, ensuring Senior Helpers is visible and well-represented in the healthcare community.

Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly activity reports to the Executive Director, outlining outreach efforts, referral outcomes, and progress toward established goals.

Address and resolve referral source concerns or complaints, conduct satisfaction surveys, and provide feedback to leadership to improve relationships and service delivery.

Maintain and manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records to track referral activity, partner engagement, and lead follow-up.

Track and analyze marketing and sales data to assess the effectiveness of our methods and make recommendations for improvement.

Achieves or exceeds business development targets as defined by leadership.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Travel frequently within the assigned geographic area (up to 80% of the time) and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet with referral partners and attend events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Has developed and executed tactical sales plans, including quotas and account objectives.

Sufficient industry and technical knowledge to communicate effectively with a variety of industry groups.

Strong understanding of client and market dynamics and requirements in the industry.

A strong client focus; commitment to delivering quality solutions and maintaining effective client relationships.

Motivation necessary for achieving or surpassing objectives; passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

Proven and sustained Sales track record.

Self-starter/self-motivated; driven to exceed established goals.

Resilient; handles stress and rejection without reaction.

Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.

Excellent negotiation skills to secure and close deals.

Must have exceptional presentation skills, written and verbal skills, and equally strong listening skills.

Must have excellent phone skills and follow-up skills with prospects and key influence center personnel.

Must have proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and use sales database tracking programs.

Ability to learn software programs quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in sales, business development, healthcare marketing, or referral outreach (senior care experience preferred).

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Proven ability to develop organizational partnerships, present programs, and negotiate agreements with healthcare facilities, senior living communities, or corporate programs.

Strong interpersonal and networking skills; confident engaging with professionals and families.

Self-motivated, results-driven, and thrives in a growth-focused environment.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.

Computer skills, with working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs; familiarity with managing CRMs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment varies depending on the assigned territory. Outside conditions exist when traveling to and from client sites.
