Position:

Expeditor (WMS, Technical Support, & Continuous Improvement) 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)

Department: Production

Primary Objective of Position:

Responsible of procurement with planning and control of manufacturing processes ensuring materials are available and production schedules are met for Production. Manages the Production supply items, purchasing activities, providing resource analysis, detailed manufacturing schedules and production plans.

Major Areas of Accountability:

Manages Production flow; providing supply of materials according to the sequence of operations, and establishes priorities / urgencies in order to anticipate, and prevent stops to meet deadlines.

Monitors accuracy of Production Inventory every day; ensuring quantities of materials avoiding lacks of parts.

Manages production schedule, breaking down activities by operations and checking material requirements.

Customer-Driven focus; providing “On Time Predictability through Continuous Improvement”.

Sources, evaluates, and negotiates with vendors for materials and parts, issue purchase orders (POs), and monitor supplier performance.

Decision making where new products and services are concerned

Reviewing current products/services

Making sure products/services get delivered on time to the Assembly area to meet the required standards.

Monitoring of stock supply.

Production Planning; develops daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

Inventory Management; maintains material requirements planning (MRP) based on sales forecasts and inventory levels to ensure the right materials are available at the right time.

Coordinates with logistics, production, and quality control departments to ensure smooth operations.

Carry out any other duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business, or similar; or equivalent work experience.

Three to Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

SAP Materials and Planning experience preferred.

Demonstrated strength in initiative, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to communicate with persons at all levels.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to respond to changing priorities required.

Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results.

Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Relationship building and management skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products (focus on Excel), proficiency preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed majority of the time in the plant environment.

Ability to routinely move throughout the plant and office environment to perform work.

Must be able to carry 20 pounds unassisted production order packages around the plant.

Requires ability to ascend and descend stairs daily to reach all areas of the plant and office.

$60k to $70k annually
