Job Description Actalent is seeking to hire a BIM Designer who will play a crucial role in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process, ensuring that deliverables are met according to project schedules, budgets, and scopes. This position involves coordinating with various parties involved in construction, contributing to the design, planning, and installation phases alongside field management. Ownership and accountability for these tasks are essential for the successful execution of commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

Act as a modeler for electrical projects, managing tasks, setting priorities, and overseeing the quality assurance and quality control of 3D modeling and 2D drawing deliverables according to VC Standards.

Interpret project schedules, budgets, and deliverable requirements to plan effectively.

Work closely with the prefabrication department to ensure seamless project execution.

Maintain clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers.

Use Revit to produce shop drawings from 3D models, adhering to company standards.

Download and manage drawings and information from online sources, SharePoint, and project websites.

Prepare and assemble document sets for transmittal to other parties.

Collaborate effectively with Virtual Construction and Prefab team members.

Understand and comply with client policies and procedures.

Translate verbal and written directions into accurate, functional design documents.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.

Experience with electrical drafting and construction documents.

Ability to produce construction drawings and Revit MEP designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working on advanced facility construction projects.

Familiarity with working in the semiconductor industry.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
