Senior Project Designer – Overview
We are seeking Senior Project Designers for our Raleigh and Charlotte offices. Ideal candidates are creative, self‑motivated, and possess both experience with, and a passion for, building design. Responsibilities include providing planning and design in the development of small, medium, and large multi‑family projects.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Play a strategic role in advancing the quality of design within the firm
Oversee and mentor Project Designers and other staff interested in design
Prepare presentation materials and participate in design presentations to clients throughout the project
Collaborate with the in‑house project team and others to develop the design and maintain design integrity during DD, CD, and CA phases
Collaborate with Team Leader and/or Senior Project Managers to understand and solve client design goals
Maintain a functional knowledge of current building and zoning codes
Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university
A portfolio that demonstrates a strong design aptitude
Experience with multi‑family and mixed‑used projects preferred
Professional licensure preferred
Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
Minimum 10 years of professional experience
Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills
Ability to interact positively with others, solve problems, and constructively communicate solutions
