Peoria, IL, vicinity Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Design Estimator
to create
competitive, accurate, and thorough pre-sale designs and estimates
for building systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical expertise in construction or metal building systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Develop precise pre-sale designs and estimates following company processes. Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams, both verbally and in writing. Analyze quote requests and provide well-documented project proposals. Stay informed on current building codes for designing building elements. Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical project drawings effectively. Assist customers in identifying
value engineering
opportunities. Maintain knowledge of company products and their applications. Meet deadlines while producing high-quality work in a dynamic environment. Travel occasionally to assist customers as needed. Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of experience
in metal buildings, construction, or a related industry, OR a
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or a related field. Ability to
read and interpret
architectural, structural, and mechanical project drawings. Proficiency in
MS Word, Excel, Access, and 2D drawing software . Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience
in metal building design, detailing, or estimating. Familiarity with
pre-engineered metal building systems . Working knowledge of tools such as
EQuote, Design Tools, Access, Tekla, or BrisCAD . A degree in a
