The primary responsibility of the Nebraska-Iowa Traffic Design / Advanced Technology for Surface Transportation (ATST) Team Lead is to oversee assist the Section Leadership with day-to-day operations of the traffic design team. In this position you will be responsible for:
Your direct reports timecard reviews, mentoring, check-ins, annual review and outlook and career development discussions.
Assist section leadership with the responsibility for operations of a production section including input to project staffing, morale, quality control and marketing support.
Assist coordination of staff and services with other sections in the Nebraska-Iowa Area and other geographic Areas through workshare.
Assist in ensuring all work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through proactive project management system
Implement, monitor, and support company policies.
Assist with hiring process, and trainings.
Additional tasks would include day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the traffic section, business group and area leadership. As the team lead you will continue with ongoing project responsibilities in addition to section management support.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management and business development experience
Experience mentoring junior staff
Involvement in industry organizations
Demonstrated ability to build a network of clients and industry partners

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of 7 years experience
Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
Strong communication and listening skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Good leadership and organizational skills
