This role focuses on driving execution, setting goals, and implementing improvement strategies in collaboration with APC Process Engineering Leads and Factory Managers. It emphasizes developing technical talent, providing leadership, and applying engineering practices to deliver innovative, high-quality manufacturing solutions.As part of an integrated product team, Thick Film Process Engineers work closely with design, process, and test teams to maintain and improve process systems, analyze yields, resolve production issues, and train operators. The Tech Lead will support these efforts by fostering collaboration, driving efficiency, and ensuring production quality and performance.Serving as the team’s technical expert, the Tech Lead will mentor engineers, solve complex challenges using advanced problem-solving tools, and lead strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement. This role involves direct support of factory operations, requiring close interaction with production processes and swift resolution of issues. The Tech Lead ensures technical excellence aligns with business objectives to achieve superior manufacturing outcomes.**What You Will Do*** Provide technical support to factory operations, ensuring process stability and resolving complex challenges.* Mentor and develop team expertise, fostering innovation and problem-solving.* Own and optimize thick and thin film processes, including system maintenance, yield analysis, and improvements.* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.* Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for sustainable solutions.* Support the development and execution of long-term technical strategies aligned with business goals.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and ensure seamless system integration.* Partner with Manufacturing Design Engineering to facilitate smooth product and program transitions.* Track and report technical metrics to identify and drive improvements.* Establish and sustain technical processes and standards for manufacturing excellence.**Qualifications You Must Have*** Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.* 10 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a related field, with a focus on thick and thin film processes preferred.* 10 years of experience with mentoring, coaching, or leading technical teams.* Experience in a manufacturing environment* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, asonly U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance**Qualifications We Prefer*** Preferred Degrees: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.* Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.* Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).* Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.* Expertise in thick film process engineering, including developing, optimizing, and maintaining deposition processes (e.g., sputtering, evaporation, chemical vapor deposition) in manufacturing environments.* Knowledge of thick and thin film microelectronics manufacturing and CORE Champion Certification (or experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies).* Strong understanding of cross-discipline processes in manufacturing and engineering.* Innovative mindset focused on leveraging emerging technologies and driving continuous improvement.* 3+ years of Raytheon manufacturing experience, particularly with APC processes and systems.* Active involvement in a Technical Interest Group, Committee, or engineering council.* Proven ability to lead and facilitate effective cross-functional meetings, both in-person and virtually.**What We Offer*** Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
