Overview The City of Kodiak is recruiting for a temporary Library Assistant.
Responsibilities performing routine clerical duties in support of an assigned library area that could include: assisting patrons with the retrieval of materials and related research;
processing and updating material status on appropriate systems and databases;
shelving books and materials;
evaluating and billing for damaged items;
checking in and out library materials; and
assisting with the preparation of educational materials for Library program offerings
Details This position is temporary and works on an as needed basis and will not exceed six months in duration.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), and two to three years of general library experience and customer service experience; or equivalent education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
