Overview Remote High School Writing Tutor — Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. The platform connects thousands of students with tutors who can set their own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ learning journeys from home. Pay and Benefits Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr. Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—reaching up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. You set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. We handle the logistics—you invoice for your tutoring sessions and payments are processed by us. Our AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to help you save prep time and focus on teaching. Responsibilities Tutor remotely in High School Writing, delivering personalized instruction to students. Match with students whose learning styles and needs align with your teaching approach. Prepare and adapt lessons to individual students and maintain engaging, effective sessions. Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance instruction and efficiency. Invoice for tutoring sessions; manage scheduling within your preferred availability. Qualifications Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in High School Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and/or graduate-level education. Ways to Connect with Students 1-on-1 online tutoring — provide personalized instruction to individual students. Instant tutoring — accept on-demand tutoring requests when you’re available.
