What You'll Be Doing Join our team as our Youth Services Librarian at Wendell Community Library! Wake County Public Library is looking to hire their next Youth Services Librarian to engage directly with our youngest Wake County citizens and have the chance to share the magic of the library with the community. From delivering captivating programs, to offering personalized service and working on a service desk, you'll create unforgettable experiences that inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning. Your role will be essential in connecting children and caregivers with the library's resources, fostering relationships and building community. Key Responsibilities of a Youth Services Librarian: Create Engaging Programs: Unleash your creativity by designing and implementing dynamic programs for children of all ages Create these experiences to spark curiosity and joy Lead Confidently: Take charge in the absence of the library manager(s) to ensure the smooth operations of the library Be a support and resource for your colleagues Collaborate with Passion: Join forces with a dedicated team to brainstorm, plan and execute programs, projects and maintain collections Contribute your unique strengths while fostering an environment of support, innovation and shared success Build Strong Community: Work with managers and peers to establish and nurture strong relationships with the community Promote library services and forge relationships that enhance our programs and services Work directly with the public providing excellent customer service, reference and readers advisory services The current position is available at: Wendell Community Library 207 S.
