Library Assistant II – Tulsa Community College Job Summary Perform public service and clerical duties of a varied and complex nature in the operations of assigned area in the TCC Library. Essential Duties Assist patrons at the information desk and online with finding resources and locating information. Assist with interviewing, training, scheduling, and overseeing daily work assignments of the Library Aide and Library Assistant I positions. Check out library materials to patrons, and may prepare overdue notices. Prepare new library materials. Keep up to date statistics. Organize the ordering, storage, and distribution of supplies and oversee the maintenance of machines, electronic devices, and other items used in the TCC Library. Ensure an orderly and welcoming study environment. Assist in library collection maintenance. Promote library resources and services. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Degree requirement may be substituted with equivalent work experience. 1 year training or experience in library operations, including assistance in locating information in print and electronically. Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team. Ability to organize work and maintain accuracy. Knowledge of computer hardware and software. Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Customer service experience.
